I did everything stated above, all correctly and multiple times just in case. > Uninstall origin and every single trace on the computer. > Check if there are game updates and/or try repairing. I had to wait about 45 minutes to get on live chat with someone and when explaining my situation he suggested the following: I stuck it out through the nightmare that was Sims 3 and waited patiently for toddlers, pools and everything else the Sims 4 was missing - but this might just be the last straw. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this problem - I am at my wit's end with EA and pretty much done with the Sims. Like every other simmer, I have been waiting years for pets to come to Sims 4 and now my game is pretty much destroyed without any hope of EA actually fixing it. They refused to give a refund and "escalated" my case to the studio since the chat agent was absolutely clueless. I contacted EA and they basically had no clue what was wrong. I have tried everything - uninstalled Origin 3 times, uninstalled the entire game 2 times, cleared the cache on Origin multiple times, etc. As a result, all 21 of my add ons and the original game are now unplayable. If I click on download, it either does nothing or just "completes" the installation without actually doing anything. Basically, I have discovered that something is preventing Cats and Dogs from completely installing in spite of Origin originally telling me it did. I looked on my Origin launcher and noticed that Cats and Dogs still said "Download". Yesterday, I tried to play and got only a black screen before being forced back to my main screen with the rainbow pinwheel (I have a Mac).

I purchased it Friday, put up with the unusually slow (even for EA) download speed and went to bed since it took 800 years to install. I am having major issues with Cats and Dogs.
